This was a year of good basics for me. I found so many staple items that I really lived in. When I pieced together outfits, one of these items was always in the mix. Here are my favorite fashion items from 2019.

Sock Booties

I always find boots comfier than heels. I like that this color and fit almost disappears with any outfit. They elevate but don’t distract. Mine are from Express, but this version from Aldo is very similar.

White Booties

I wore these all late summer, fall, and early winter. They were so versatile and fun. Now my feet get a little too cold, but I can’t wait for their return this spring. They are dressier than my white sneakers, but the neutral tone goes with most of my wardrobe and the white is something fresh.

White Leather Sneakers

These held up so well, and they really fit the casual look I wanted. Usually sneakers fall into a too athletic vibe for my everyday style. The leather made them a tad dressier without embellishment. It’s also easy to clean. Mine are from Gap, but this Banana Republic pair is similar.

Gap Jeans

These are my favorite jeans ever. They have a real denim look, but they are soft and comfortable. I like the high waist and cut. I’ve worn them so many times.

Free People Bramis

I always like camis for smoothing everything out under a top, but I don’t like fabric bunching up (especially with tucked in shirts). These bralettes have the smoothing effect without the added layers at my waist. I have a reddish and nude version, and will probably purchase a couple other colors in the new year.

Kendra Scott Hoops

I wear this pair all the time. I like the iridescent sparkle and size.

Old Navy Tank

I was shocked at how much I loved this tank top. It’s opaque enough to wear alone, had a nice cut, and is comfortable. I bought two.

Cream Sweater

This fall and winter, I’ve gotten so much use out of my mom’s cableknit, cream sweater. She bought it at Gap ten years ago. It’s heavy enough to keep me warm on chilly days. These are similar styles from Gap and Banana Republic.

These items will definitely be seeing more love in the new year, too! Let me know what your favorite fashion finds were.

Xoxo,

Kirsten
