I love the direction denim is going. Or should I say directions? Denim styles are all over the place, and I love the variety. One of my favorites that’s back on the market is the flare jean. When I was younger, I almost exclusively wore this style before skinny jeans took over. I’m happy the flare has returned. Here are some of my favorite ways to style them.

This pair came from Sophie, and they are the Dear John brand.

The first way I styled this jean is with one of my favorite fashion stapes: a mock neck tank. I wear this one all the time. Flare jeans, mock tank, and resin earrings really puts off a 70’s vibe.

Another 70’s inspired style is with an athletic style t-shirt. This is a perfect game day or weekend look. I paired with hoops to doll it up bit.

Rachel Zoe is the inspiration for this outfit. I love the longer length top paired with flair jeans. Usually I’m afraid wearing two long pieces will make me appear shorter, but I think these proportions really work. I added longer resin earrings to keep the long lines.

A French blue button up is always a staple in my wardrobe. The one I’m wearing is an older version from Gap, but this one looks similar. I like how flare jeans can go from casual to polished.

For a cozier look, flare jeans also look cute styled with a thermal or sweater. I added a longer necklace to keep the lines long again. When I pair boxier pieces with flare jeans, I try to add elements that keep the eye moving up and down because it helps keep me look elongated.

A long sweater with flare jeans is really trendy right now. I paired with a shorter tank to keep my waist somewhat defined. Lace camis can be found at so many different stores; I bought this one from American Eagle a very long time ago, but they have similar ones. For a date night or weekends, I like the look styled with drop earrings.

What style of jean are you most excited for this fall? Let me know!
