February is here, and so are the spring launches. Beauty and fashion are starting to release spring items, and I’m feeling the shift myself. I no longer want to bundle up in all my cozies. My winter clothes are feeling played. The temptation to buy buy buy is so real. The heart earrings at Target have been calling my name. Cute Valentine’s graphic tees have a strong pull.
So, instead of purchasing, I styled a top that’s been in my closet for awhile. If you saw my holiday capsule wardrobe, many of the pieces and looks are the same or similar. This top adds a pop of spring that revamps wintry styles without refreshing an entire wardrobe. Pale pinks, florals, and crisp whites are my favorite ways to transition into spring fashion. Yellow also seems to be having a serious moment right now.
Simple Everyday Look
If you’ve seen my instagram, you know this is a look I gravitate towards often. It’s simple and comfortable. These jeans are my favorites from Gap, and the sock booties were a steal from Express (similar style here).
Casual Weekend Style
Throwing on sneakers make this look even more comfortable. A pink teletie also matches the top and sportier style.
I wear black pants to work often. Pairing a monochromatic shoe is a fun twist, but I’m also always a fan of a nude pump. I thought the black ribbon was a fun, romantic touch. I repurposed mine from a dress or skirt’s belt, but Madewell has a gorgeous pre-tied version.
I’m seeing monochromatic looks everywhere, and I’m a huge fan. Pink on pink is one of my favorite looks. I’ve had this skirt in my closet for seven years and love pulling it out in the spring. A hot pink skirt isn’t the most practical, but the cut and color were true to my style. When looking for statement pieces, I really try to evaluate if it’s trendy or timeless and invest appropriately. P.s.:Express has a satin version right now that’s beautiful.
The version I styled is no longer available, but Express has some really pretty ones.
